We are Catholic men who are interested in being part of an organization that fills their heart and their mind with the joy of giving to others. If you are interested in making a difference will find new friends at Fr. John LaFarge Council #4012. Our members range from brothers who have newly discovered the Catholic faith, to “Cradle Catholics”, to brothers who are deacons and priests.
Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life. Come see what we are all about and start to enhance your personal life.
In addition to the many charitable programs we run and support exhibited here at our website; we strongly believe in our Faith in Action Activities. We support Vocations programs that assists our seminarians and postulants with financial and moral assistance. As the strong right arm of the church, the Knights of Columbus are committed to providing moral, financial, and spiritual support to future priests and religious at all stages of their formation. We support our local Parishes in volunteer programs of Ushering at Sunday Masses and Special Liturgies; Communion Breakfasts; Food collection drives for the Hungry; Wake Services for our Deceased Brother Knights; Holy Hours, and opportunities for prayer and reflection together as a fraternity. Under the guidance of our chaplain, our councils regularly hear spiritual reflections together or help organize our own event for the men of the parish.
We hold monthly Business and social meetings year around where we promote the core principles of the Knights of Columbus, charity, unity, and fraternity. We regularly have communications from organizations that have received our help and hear presentations from our Chaplain and parish Pastors on topics related to our faith. Our monthly business meeting to discuss the business of running the council.

From the moment of the Knights of Columbus founding in 1882 by Blessed Fr. Michael McGivney, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are Catholic men of faith and men of charitable action. "We are answering Pope Francis’ call to go to the peripheries,” former Supreme Knight Carl Anderson said. “We can reach halfway around the globe to help those in need and we can reach to our neighbor next door. And we do that every day. That makes us witnesses to the faith."
Our Knights and their families have greater opportunities to participate in a variety of activities that deepen their faith, promote the New Evangelization, and strengthen our parishes.
Our Council and all of the Knights Councils share the same bond in that we unselfishly give of our time and talents in service of God, country and our parish community. Programs are so organized as to appeal to the individual interest of the members.

Our Faith In Action
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.
In the spirit of our founder, Blessed Michael J. McGivney, councils lead efforts to assist those most in need. Guidelines for these programs are broad and include forming partnerships with local aid organizations or independently planning unique activities in conjunction with our affiliated Catholic Parishes.
We recognize the important work our members do, to care for the most disadvantaged members of our communities – the homeless, our Veterans, disabled and economically challenged members of our community, and many others aligned with our Catholic faith. We offer the opportunity for fellowship with those who are of the same belief, who recognize the same duty to God, to family and to neighbor and who stand side by side in defense of those beliefs.
