Father John LaFarge, SJ. our Councils Founder was a pioneer in the field of interracial justice. He was a working priest-journalist, and his life’s business was to study and relate the significant events of the day with the deeper moral and theological issues that lie behind them. He was emblematic of the dedication to promoting and conducting educational, charitable, and social welfare works, rendering mutual aid to those sick and needy members and their families; challenging us in our Catholic faith to lead, serve, protect and defend. We share a desire to be better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors, and role models and to put charity and community first.
