It was a great meeting with you, Fr. Peter Conroy, SJ today along with Deputy Grand Knight of Columbus Dan Fitzpatrick, at the Shrub Oak Jesuit Cemetery; and glad to understand that Jesuit East will obtain your firm, Parish Property Management, Inc. (PPM), going forward to manage the Cemetery including its maintenance, and any site repair required. Also a comfort you will be keeping the Shrub Oak International School in the know with any major work contemplated and become good working neighbors together. We accomplished a great deal in understanding your involvement with the immediate work contemplated, future maintenance, water access, boundaries and property access, as well as relationship with the School, among other things.
As mentioned, the Knights of Columbus Fr. John LaFarge Council 4012 have a continued vested interest, as well as the Jesuit Order, in properly maintaining the grounds as our founder, Fr. John LaFarge,SJ is interred at the Cemetery. Several of us at the Council will periodically come up to the Cemetery to give our respects to those interred, and especially will arrange with Fr. Pellegrini, SJ (and give the International School notice of the same) a memorial service for Fr. LaFarge, SJ at the site in November.

Again, thank you, and all in addressing and accomplishing long term maintenance for the cemetery and proper groundskeeping for the priests interred at the Jesuit Cemetery at Shrub Oak who served their community well.
